Who we are

The Project Villa Fernandes

The Villa Fernandes project was supported by the Con il Sud Foundation with the Peppino Vismara Foundationand promoted by the social cooperative by the Seme di Pace Onlus together with the municipality of Portici and 20 other partners active in the area. Later on, thanks to the establishment of the social cooperative Magma, the project also received the support of Cultura Crea 2.0, an incentive promoted by the Ministry of Culture (MIC) and managed by Invitalia in implementation of the PON FESR "Culture and Development 2014-2020.
Villa Fernandes is a real hub, a social incubator of 21 partners, representative of the area who share visions, values and common objectives.

La Storia

The Villa is a building that dates back to the early 1900s and is located in the heart of Portici. Confiscated in 1998 from the Rea Camorra clan, the Villa was transferred in March 1999 to the unavailable assets of the Municipality of Portici which,in 2020, then granted it on loan for use to the network established for the project Villa Fernandes
Today, “Villa Fernandes: common good”represents a place open to the free use of both external and internal areas, a meeting and social aggregation point, a listening and orientation hub for those experiencing difficult situations.

The Mission

Villa Fernandes is a project that goes beyond strictly geographical territorial boundaries and promotes a wide and inclusive network by involving partners from neighbouring areas; experiences of excellence, both for the use and management of confiscated assets, both for the development of the foundations of the community.
From the perspective of the returned service provided to the community, today it can be defined as:

a hub of local development that is fair, supportive and sustainable

a cultural center that's open, and innovative, and the point of reference for the area,

a service center for the person, with listening and assistance for those who live in situations of hardship.
